Add some rosewater and use mangoes and you've got a lassi. When samosas and pakoras become popular junk foods we'll have to come up with new names for them.
I've been on smoothies for years. We make them in the a.m. and stick them in our to-go coffee cups and take them to work. I only use frozen fruit though. I use a handful of frozen fruit, yogurt, 1 banana and OJ or low fat milk. Not only are they good for you, they are so filling and not high in calories.
If you're anti-dairy/fruit, add a little oj and more ice. It makes a nice slushy.

AND it would go better with the vodka. Why didn't I think of that? : )
