Flog? Noooooo! That is taking the contraction a little too far. What is wrong with "food blog"? 8 letters, 2 short words, describes perfectly - do we really need to modify?

I agree. If "flogging" is claimed by the foodblogging community, what term will the real flogging bloggers use? Such appropriation will doubtless cause uproar among self-flagellent webloggers.
