This model shown wearing a chocolate frock is not participating in "America's Next Top Morsel" or trying out for the Cirque du Toffee, but is shown at Beijing's Salon du Chocolat. 20 actual top chocolate makers participated in this event, creating edible garments for models to wear and presumably take home and eat later.
Lord knows they could use a sandwich or something.
Normally, this event is held in Paris, but China is becoming a huge market for well, everything, but chocolate especially.

Things are apparently changing in China. The guys I know in Hong Kong are not chocolate fiends by any stretch of the imagination.
Maybe it's a regional thing, starting in Beijing and moving outward.
It's funny you should mention the China/chocolate angle Barrett. When I posted the Chairman Mao Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies, my family wrote to say that my cousin's boyfriend (who is Chinese) said that chocolate is almost unheard of in China, and not at all popular!
