Everyday Italian dishware

One of our most popular posts is the one I wrote many moon ago about Giada De Laurentiis. I'm sure most of the popularity of the post has to do with her attractive appearance (In fact, I imagine if I somehow wrote a post that talked about a recipe she and Jamie Oliver worked on and put "Giada de Laurentiis" and "Naked Chef" in close proximity, I might see our traffic increase tenfold. But of course I won't stoop to that). But some people are not interested in this elfin Italian chef. These people are wild for her ceramics.

The bowls and plates Giada uses on "Everyday Italian" are rustic looking in that "Wow, I bet that simple peasant china is really, really expensive" way. They photograph very well. We had a couple of questions and some answers to the comments in that original Giada post about her ceramics. I decided to go straight to the hors d'oeuvres mouth to get the skinny.

Via e-mail, I asked the Everyday Italian producers about the china she uses on the show, and after about three weeks, I got a response back from Food Network Viewer Services. According to the e-mail I received, the dishes used on the show are all from Vietri.

Food Network's terse reply in toto was:

Cucina Fresca Dinnerware, Canisters and Baking Dishes (all the cream, sage, yellow color ceramic ware… the little tasting dishes, oval gratin dishes with the handles, coffee pot, creamer, butter dish, espresso cups, ceramic strainer)
Cioccolata Dinnerware (chocolate colored dishes)
Paesano Dinnerware and Mugs (yellow platters and mugs with design)
Chiaroscuro Dinnerware and Baking Dishes (black and gray baking dishes)
Vietri

(800) 277-5933
www.vietri.com

Nice stuff. So nice that a large dinner plate is $34.95 and that individual pasta bowl that shows up so much on the show is $24.95 at replacements.com. Ouch. Not completely insane, like Limoges, but pricy stuff for everyday dinnerware.

Of course buying a full set for your kitchen will make you just like Giada. And really, how can you put a price on that?

I suspect that your traffic would skyrocket more if you mentioned the Naked Chef with Italian model Gaia de Laurentis (with one "i"), whom most of those visitors to the other post are probably looking for in the first place...

Hi does anyone know where Giada got the cutting board that she uses??? Please help me find this.

Posted by Bonnie on February 25, 2005 at 8:10 AM

You can always use the method that I did to obtain a full set of Vietri dishware: get married and register for it! :)

Posted by s'kat on February 25, 2005 at 12:46 PM

Well, ONE could certainly get married and register for the dishes but I've already used up that opportunity.

And I think my wife might object to me starting a harem for the sake of dishware.

Posted by barrett on February 25, 2005 at 1:01 PM

Hi Barrett,

You could always try eBay...there is a set of four dinner plates listed currently, with a starting bid of $9.99. You might just end up getting a great deal!

Posted by Moira on February 25, 2005 at 5:53 PM

She's no everyday Italian Dish, that's for sure.

(checks facts)

She's not wearing dishes, either.

Posted by Bryan on February 25, 2005 at 5:54 PM

Bonnie - through the magic of e-mail, I received the following from Food Network regarding GDL's cuttign boards:

Walnut wood cutting board
Narrow walnut and cherry wood cutting boards

Note: The large, thin, rustic cutting board is an antique.

Does anyone know where I could get her oval measuring cups?

Posted by Hitomi on March 16, 2005 at 7:05 AM

Are you referring to the narrow measuring spoons that can fit into herb and spice containers?

Here's a URL for a site for the measuring spoons I think that she's used:

Ah, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's noticed her dishes too. I wonder if Vietri's sales have increased since her show. I noticed that she's not using them much, or rather they're not as prominent in her newer shows.

Here are a few sites that sell Vietri. If you live in the Minneapolis area, Ampersand is the place to get them. They've got almost the full line in-house, particularly the Edina store, which is really nice cuz then you can pick and choose which one you like, since they're not factory made, so each one is a bit different.

http://evropashop.com/vietri_cucina_fresca.htm

http://www.plumpuddingkitchen.com/

http://www.ampersandshops.com/location.php

The Ampersand store in Edina at 50th and France will be moving to the Galleria at the end of March. The Wayzata store didn't have as much of a variety in-house as the Edina store. I hope the Galleria store will have as much room for their Vietri. If they don't have a particular piece in the store, they are happy to order for you.

Posted by debris on March 16, 2005 at 7:14 PM

Sorry, I'm bombarding this site with multiple posts. The particular dish I'm curious about is the bowl that's featured in the opening segment for her show when the shows opening theme music is played. It's a white circular bowl. The edges seem to go up at a right angle to the base and then flair or curve out a bit at the tip. I think there's an artichoke in the bowl during this segment. I've seen her use it on her shows, too. Wondering if the chef or anyone knows the maker of this bowl?

Another question: do you think it's Giada's personal dinnerware/tableware used on the show? (I noticed she's using a lot of Heath ceramics in her newer shows.) If so, I think she has excellent taste.

Posted by debris on March 16, 2005 at 7:21 PM

so so so happy i found out she uses Vietri!! have been looking all over for dishes like that and none come close. does anyone know (according to the older shows in the original kitchen of Giada) if the dishes that she eats her measly portions out of right after she finishes cooking are the Vietri tiny AU GRATIN dishes?

Posted by melissa on March 28, 2005 at 9:38 PM

hi does anyone know where giada gets her olive oil bottles with the cork spouts? i LOVE them!!

also, does she eat out of the au gratin dish from Vietri after she makes her meal and tries it out for the viewer?

Posted by melissa on March 28, 2005 at 11:08 PM

Yes, she uses the gratin dishes as her tasting dish. They have the little "ears" on both ends. The other dish she uses to taste is the salad plate, which is 7" in diameter. The salad plates are recessed from the sides, so in a sense they are slightly deep, like the gratin dishes too, probably by 3/4 to an inch deep. I like that. I've got these plates in saffron/cream. They are great snack or dessert plates. Have used them occasionally for salad. Strawberries look fantastic against the saffron color.

Posted by debris on March 29, 2005 at 10:42 PM

Does anyone know what type of measuring spoons she uses. I am referring to the ones that are white with a blue outline. Are they porcelin?

Posted by Gretchen on April 4, 2005 at 4:51 PM

Answering to Melissa's question, Giada gets her oilive oil bottles and cork spouts at Olivers & Co. ( O&Co.) I have those too and they are so elegant. The cork spout works great.

Now, Gretchen, you can get her porcelain measuring spoons at Fantes.com. Giada's oval stainless steel measuring cup also comes from there.

thank you hitomi and debris- your info is so helpful!! now i hope i don't sound too fanatical- but has anyone noticed in her new kitchen she uses these sleek bowls and platters that are dual-toned; one is pale biscuit-yellow on inside and white outside and the bowl is a deep mauve inside and white outside....anyone have info where those are from? thanks everyone- you rock!!

Posted by melissa on April 11, 2005 at 1:18 PM

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who admires her cookware and wants to know where she gets it. I've already done the research, so I will pass it along: the dual-tone tableware is from Heath Ceramics. The large shallow bowl is Spring on the inside and Linen on the outside. They sell some of their selection on their website

www.heathceramics.com/shopheath.html

but not in all colors. (I know all of this because I'm asking for this very bowl for my birthday) and given my husband specific instructions :)

I think you'll see the other deeper bowl on the website too. I had to download the PDFs of the catalogs to get a listing of all their colors.

Posted by debris on April 12, 2005 at 9:43 PM

yes melissa, those dishes come from Davistudio. They are hand made and believe it or not, more expensive than Vietri. They come in many different colors and patterns, although some of the colors Giada has are not available online.

Posted by Hitomi on April 13, 2005 at 8:22 AM

Melissa, I think the new sleek dual-tone dishes you are referring to come from Heath Ceramics. The bowl you mentioned is the very one I'm asking for my birthday! It's the shallow salad bowl in Spring/Linen. That particular color can only be ordered over the phone to their factory store in Sausilito, CA. You can order only a few items over the website and not in all the colors. I had to download the PDFs to see all the colors that are available. I actually called Heath's factory store, to make sure the "Spring" was the yellow...and it is. Their website is www.heathceramics.com.

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find the glass spice jars she uses on the show? Thanks!

Posted by Marilee on April 20, 2005 at 4:43 PM

Hi Marilee, I think you can find them on fantes.com. Thanks to the other people for being so helpful :)) Hey debris, do you know which specific color from Heath Ceramics is the one that's white outside and this pale mocha taupe inside?

Posted by melissa on April 21, 2005 at 4:00 PM

Hi Melissa, I am pretty sure that the dishes you were talking about come from Davistudio, and not from Heath Ceramics. This is an e-mail I received from Food Network in response to the same question you asked about the dual-toned dishes. Here was their response:

There are four distinct pottery lines we use on the series:

Davistudio - these dishes have a cream/white exterior and a colored interior - including colors in taupe, pale green, yellow and brown. We do have some with a white interior as well. Shapes are various bowls and oval platters. Also white pitcher with a green or taupe interior

Vietri - rustic yellow, green, cream and chocolate colored chargers, various plate sizes, pitchers and ceramic canisters (where we hold flour and sugar). This line also makes the yellow pottery with the flowers/birds as a design - mugs, pitchers and oval platters.

Cote Table - dishes have a distinct ruffled edge. Colors are pink, cream, lavender. Shapes are rectangular, square, round and oval

Malmaison - colors are pink, taupe, cream. Shapes are bowls and chargers/plates. There is one pink gravy boat with dish

Posted by Hitomi on April 21, 2005 at 11:17 PM

Hi Melissa, I looked at the spice jars on the fantes website and I don't think those are the same. I guess I will keep looking and thank you for your help!

Posted by Marilee on April 22, 2005 at 1:44 AM

hey hitomi thanks again so much for the info. by the way, what is a "charger" exactly? im astonished at how much the dishes from davistudio are yikes! and this whole time i thought those bowls and platters came from nicole farhi home..... has anyone gotten her dvd set yet? im receiving my double set on monday- SO excited- heard it's 2nd and 3rd season :)

Posted by melissa on April 23, 2005 at 1:02 PM

After looking at the davisstudio website, I have a hard time believing that the wide low bowl and other tableware used on the show is from there. The color and finish of their dishes are very bright and glossy, whereas the sleek dualtone tableware used on the show are flat and muted.

I still think the dishes come from Heath Ceramics. I've emailed the food network with a question before and I got an answer that didn't at all answer my initial question, so now I'm suspicious of their information.

However, there is a wrench in my theory. My husband called Heath to order the bowl in Spring/Linen for my birthday, but they don't make the bowl in that color. Maybe they did at one point, I don't know, but I should ask. Unfortunately, if I want the yellow color, which I do, I have to get it with the French Grey, which I don't like. I declined the bowl for my birthday. It could be that they do use this bowl on the show and what is appearing to be a light beige color because of all the lighting is really the french grey. I might do some research and ask Heath directly if they have provided tableware/dishes to Everyday Italian. I swear I've seen this low salad bowl in the same colors on 30 Minute Meals, too.

The pitchers that Giada uses are also of the shape that Heath offers. However, I don't see a dualtone in a pale mocha taupe with white on the outside. The color that seems closest to the pale mocha taupe is the matte brown, but it doesn't seem to come dualtoned.

To answer the question about the charger plate: A charger plate is larger than a dinner plate but is smaller than a platter. It is mostly used in formal table settings. The charger plate is placed at each place setting, but food is never placed directly on it. A charger plate serves in a sense as a place holder for the plates for the first cource(s), which are placed on top of it. It is generally removed when the main entrée is served, which would arrive on its own plate.

Posted by debris on April 26, 2005 at 12:41 AM

Okay, I did some calling around and Hitomi is completely correct. The sleek dualtoned dishes do come from Davistudio. The person I got on the phone was very aware that their dishes are used on the show. Whereas that was not the case with the person I spoke to at Heath Ceramics.

The yellow/cream-white low wide bowl on the show is offered in their colors of fawn (the muted yellow on the inside) and satin white on the outside.

When I called Heath Ceramics the person said that the shallow salad bowl is offered in Spring /Linen during the spring and summer. So I am now in a quandary as to where to get the low wide bowl. I wish you could actually touch them and see them so you know what you're getting. It's difficult to get a sense of what the bowl would look like from the davistudio website since the dishes there have all those crazy patterns on them.

I hope that bowl is used on one of her shows sometime soon so I can take a better look at it.

Anyways, good luck everyone with getting your dishes!

Posted by debris on April 26, 2005 at 12:22 PM

debris, wow i really must thank you for your efforts. at first i thought the same.... that the dishes on davistudio are incredibly bright and glossy and the ones on the show are definitely matte & muted. also, i thought the dishes on the davistudio site looked rather fragile whereas on the show, they seemed like sturdy ceramic. darn i wish they weren't so expensive!! but you're right- the heath ceramic one seems to have a slightly wider edge and looks a little thicker at the rim than the one on the show- so it looks like they are from davistudio. it's too bad it takes 6 to 8 WEEKS to ship!!! yikes!!

anyway, got my DVD set in!! you guys HAVE to order it!! they have all this bonus footage and you can re-watch giada make her dishes as many times as you want! yay!! i had to get them since i don't have tivo. shall do more research on the dishes and let y'all know. food network can take FOREVER to respond :(

Posted by melissa on April 26, 2005 at 2:53 PM

Melissa, since you have the DVDs and if you see that salad bowl, if you have time would you tell me what episode(s) it is on?

I was thinking maybe I should get the DVDs just so I can scrutinize her dishes. For instance I could pause it and examine that bowl. Hehe.

Posted by debris on April 27, 2005 at 9:39 AM

hehe debris- i will sure do that for you. as much as i love her, i have been unable to watch all the episodes in a week!! haha- but it is a wise investment if you love to cook and esp. if you love her dishes!! i purchased two bowls that Giada uses from Global Table in NY. They are also dual-toned but a bigger version of the ones from Dvaistudio. Though pricey, it's wonderful to use :) I'll let you know which episode it's on ASAP :)

Posted by melissa on April 27, 2005 at 6:40 PM

Hi All,

I have been trying to get into on her dinnerware forever. I am so glad I found this site. You have all been so helpful.
I just love Vietri.
Now here is a question:
The other day I was watching her show and she was making the tortelli soup and the soup bowls she use looked really cool. They looked like Vietri but I cannot find them anywhere on Vietri's website. Anyone got any idea?

Posted by Pam on May 2, 2005 at 1:13 AM

Hi Pam,

I think those dishes giada used to serve the tortellini soup are the Cucina fresca individual oven casserole from Vietri. On the website they show it with the lid on.

Posted by Hitomi on May 2, 2005 at 8:08 AM

ok so for anyone who's interested in the new sleeker set of dual-toned dishes that giada uses (oh how i miss her cucina fresca ones in the new kitchen she films in) they are, yes, from davistudio but also from an english ceramics potter named BRICKETT DAVDA. i have two of her bowls that giada uses and they're very expensive but well worth it; makes you feel just like giada when you're cooking :) ps: has anyone noticed she's using more pastel-hued dishes in the new kitchen like pinks and lilacs? what do you think?

Posted by melissa on May 3, 2005 at 11:02 AM

I am so glad that I found this site! I have been searching for the blue and white measuring spoons that are used on the show for my Mom for Mother's Day. She loves them! Thank you so much for the helpful information!

Posted by Emily on May 4, 2005 at 4:31 PM

Hi, does anyone know where the white ceramic wide bowl with the spout comes from that Giada used when she made the Parmesan Pancetta Torta? Thanks!

Posted by Diana on May 5, 2005 at 1:09 PM

Hi Diana,

The white ceramic batter bowl comes from Stonewall Kitchen. It is a set of three bowls of different sizes.

Posted by Hitomi on May 5, 2005 at 1:17 PM

Hello, everyone!

Does anyone know where I can getget the small oval plate which is white or cream, a little bit distinct wavy. She used it for chives and olives in Wedding Shower episode. (for Goat Cheese Toast)

And answering to Marilee regarding to Giada's spice jar. I think this is it. http://www.canwax.shoppingcartsplus.com/catalog/item/634635/1120207.htm

Posted by Yasue on May 5, 2005 at 3:37 PM

Does anyone know where I can find the mitten type pot holders Giada uses? Thanks

Posted by Marisa on May 10, 2005 at 10:38 AM

Yasue, I am pretty sure that little plate you are talking about comes from Davistudio as mentioned in our previous posts....but I think it comes with a vase and is 8 inches. Marisa, I think her oven mitts are from a place called Hable Construction in New York but I am not sure. I know for sure that her aprons are custom made from there.... by the way, if you still love her Cucina Fresca line more than the modern style dishes... check out eBay right now. I just purchased the exact same ceramic canisters Giada uses for flour & breadcrumbs in a cream and a saffron... on plumpuddingkitchen.com, they are EACH $54 not incl. shipping but I got both on eBay PLUS shipping for only $50! a real bargain....let's hope they aren't faulty hehe *fingers crossed*

Posted by melissa on May 13, 2005 at 2:58 AM

oh and ps, has anyone noticed how awesome Giada's new kitchen looks (i think the ones filmed for her 5th season?) I know it's in a house in malibu or the palisades...that is SO my dream kitchen!! she's also dressing alot prettier, too, you can tell her show is doing well haha. i guess it helps that her hubbie designs for the ANthropologie stores.. they are too cute 2gether :)

Posted by melissa on May 13, 2005 at 3:00 AM

Does anyone know where you can buy the cream canisters Giada's uses for her kitchen utensils, they look very similar to the canisters she uses for flour, and sugar.

Thanks

Posted by zeena on May 20, 2005 at 11:59 AM

Does anyone know what type of knife Giada uses on her show?

Posted by ashly on May 21, 2005 at 10:37 AM

her cream canisters are from Vietri's Cucina Fresca line but REAL expensive- the smallest one that holds 3.5 cups- is about $60 online! Check eBay...I just bought a set of 3 that Giada has for a total of $50 and they're perfect, brand new & 100% authentic. Lucky me :) Ashly... she uses Global knives. I think everything she uses is $$$!!!

Posted by melissa on May 21, 2005 at 7:13 PM

Does anyone know where to find the flat bottom glass pitchers seen on the show. She mixes her salad dressings or puts her herbs in them.

Posted by Claudia on June 16, 2005 at 2:11 PM

Hi, Claudia- I found her pitcher in Crate & Barrel, but it was 2 years ago. They may still have it in their outlet store. Hope this helps.

Posted by Yasue on June 20, 2005 at 2:29 PM

Does anyone know which letter/number Global knife that Giada uses...I mean the particular knife? Is it the G2, 8" chef? Thanks!

This is a terrific site; I am a cooking junkie and love this exchange of recipes and information.

Posted by Lu on June 20, 2005 at 2:54 PM

I love that I am not the only one checking everything out. My question is who makes the platter that has the rooster or bird on it? I have vietri pieces and have not found anything in the catalog that looks like it. Also does anyone know where she gets her clear glasses they look hexagon on a beautiful pedestal she puts desserts or fruit in them alot. I thought maybe it was juluski but cant find it in a hexagon. Thanks for any info. Oh and when I go onto davisstudio I seem to only pull up photography or some ceramics that doesn't look like anything she uses. I am looking for the small pitcher she uses that is fawn or taupe on the inside and cream on the outside and no handles and shaped like a teardrop possiablity a (creamer)?

Posted by Andrea on June 21, 2005 at 10:45 AM

Andrea, Food Network Website (Giada's) now have all sources where you can buy. What ever Giada uses, they are shown. Things you are looking for are also shown.

Posted by Yasue on June 24, 2005 at 3:25 PM

Thanks for the tip, Yasue. I'm going to go and check the foodnetwork site right now.

Andrea: I felt the same thing about the Davistudio website. They show the most hideous (IMO) stuff. I'm surprised they don't have photos of their more tasteful pieces/colors. I called the store and the person there was quite aware that their stuff has been featured on Giada's show. The person was very helpful and knew what colors and items have been on the show. Maybe give them a call to get more info.

Posted by debris on June 29, 2005 at 5:57 PM

Thank you so much for the information. I did find what I needed after I had posted the letter. I'm still in search for the Paesano Platter by vietri if anyone knows where I can purchase one. I have called replacements all they had was a mug and a round bowl. Been on e-bay. Any info. would be great.

Thanks

Posted by Andrea on June 30, 2005 at 8:52 AM

DVDs!!!!!

Okay, so I've just discovered the magic that is Giada, and I would like to know where you guys ordered the DVDs from...are they dvds of her entire show repertoire on the food network? I already have her cookbook, but having the actualy shows would help tenfold....Please help! :)

Posted by Liz on July 1, 2005 at 1:37 PM

Recipe Request -- While watching the show, did anybody take notice of the pasta pie Giada made? It was made in a springform pan, using spaghetti and meatballs (or sausage) in what I believe is a puff pastry shell. Anybody know the name of the dish since it is not easily found on FNTV.com. Thanks in advance for responses.

Posted by stuart on July 1, 2005 at 7:23 PM

Stuart,
I think the episode is Pasta Potluck and the recipe is Baked Angel Hair with Eggplant. Hope this helps.

Posted by Andrea on July 1, 2005 at 9:15 PM

Liz: I purchased the DVDs from the food network site- though they are expensive (about $120) it is a set of 6 DVDs with 4 episodes per CD. It's the 2nd & 3rd season only so it's not the newest ones and includes a few of the very 1st season (which personally i don't really like because it's almost like Giada is a total different person in the 1st season....she looks real tired and talks too seriously- you can tell there was a MAJOR makeup, wardrobe and personality UPPITY for her most recent shows) anyway, it's definitely worth every penny. i cannot wait until her next set comes out- i feel like such a stalker but i have the whole Vietri set thanks to her and the other dishes from Davistudio!!

Posted by melissa on July 3, 2005 at 4:46 PM

ps: has anyone watched her newest episodes? i noticed she is using different dishes in colors of light mauve and ivory cream- much cleaner and more modern than the Vietri stuff....anyone got a clue where she got them? thanks!! this site rocks!

Posted by melissa on July 3, 2005 at 4:47 PM

I am glad to see I am not the only person interested in giada's dishes! I have been looking, and looking, and looking for those gratin "tasting" dishes on all of my shopping ventures, and could not find anything similar. I am so happy to know they are vietri. Thanks!

Posted by krista on July 4, 2005 at 6:51 AM

Melissa,

Thanks for responding...I think I'm going to go ahead and make the $100 leap...gulp! :)

Posted by Liz on July 4, 2005 at 11:12 AM

No prob, Liz. Hey Kirsta- in case you are interested in her other dishes that alot of us have been talking about, lots of her newer ones come from places like Global Table, Davistudio, Brickett Davda, Nicole Farhi and Conran... hope this helps in your venture :)

Posted by melissa on July 4, 2005 at 3:49 PM

Hi Melissa,
I think the dishes you are refering to are from Malmaison. You can find them at La Cafetiere in NYC. You can also find Giada's pink gravy boat dish there. http://www.la-cafetiere.com/products2.php

Posted by Hitomi on July 7, 2005 at 1:29 PM

I have a question about the Davisstudio and Brickett Davda lines. I was at an art museum and there was Brickett Davda in the gift shop. I was able to lift it and touch it and it felt so delicate and wafer thin.

Even if something is gorgeous, I still want tableware to be durable. Can anyone tell me if the Davisstudio tableware is just as thin and delicate as the Brickett Davda?

Posted by debris on July 9, 2005 at 2:35 PM

Hi,

Does anyone know where to get the white rectangular plates with spouts that Giada uses to season her meats on? Thanks!

Posted by Diana on July 16, 2005 at 10:24 AM

Great information everyone, but do any of you know the music that is played in the background on her episodes? Thanks.

Posted by Karen on July 28, 2005 at 3:57 AM

Thanks to this site, I was able to locate the ceramic measuring spoons that Giada uses during her show. Just got the spoons and wow, they are SO CUTE! I am wondering if I should go ahead and start a collection of Vietri dishes too! I love Giada and watch her show every day :) Kudos to this site and its message forum! :)

Hi all-
Great information! I've been looking everywhere for the olive oil bottles she uses, but Oliver & Co don't seem to have them on their website. Any ideas?

thanks!

Posted by Reen on September 23, 2005 at 4:21 PM

Hi Reen
They sell the empty bottles and spouts at their store, but if you can't find an O&Co. store near you, and if you really want the bottles, what you can do is order their finishing olive oils in the 8.4oz bottles. They are exactly the same, just have labels on them. Just buy the spout separately. Their olive oils are a little expensive, but in my opinion well worth it. The bottles are dishwashersafe, so once you are done with the oil, peel off the label, put in the dishwasher and once clean, refil with anything you want.

Posted by Hitomi on September 25, 2005 at 9:27 AM

Hi Reen,

You can also just call them and order the empty bottles over the phone. That is how I got mine and I don't live anywhere near a O&Co. store. They person on the phone knew exactly which bottle I was talking about. The empty bottle costs $6.00 and the spout was $4.oo, and I received them in just a few days. Their number is listed on their website in the customer service section.

Does anyone know where Giada gets the wooden salad forks she uses?

Posted by Virch on October 14, 2005 at 7:20 AM

Linda,

You can purchase the bowls with the pouring spouts at StonewallKitchen.com. There is a set of three. I have those and I love them!

Posted by Diana on October 16, 2005 at 9:32 PM

Linda,

I just checked the stonewall kitchen site. The bowls are $99 for a set of 3. Unfortunately, it's a little too pricey for me. I found similar bowls at target. There is a BIA Cordon Bleu set of 4 for $29.99. It's not wide and shallow like the stonewall ones and definitely not as cute but it's a decent alternative.

Posted by Gloria on October 18, 2005 at 2:36 PM

You can find the wooden salad forks at ozarkwest.com. There you also find the wooden spoons, cutting boards and other kitchen utensils that she uses. I've purchased the spoons and they're very nice.

Hey Marilee,

Check out the container store for the spice jars. I just got some and I love them. I'm not sure where you are located, but there is a store located in Pasadena, CA.

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if you've noted this yet or not, but I just picked up Giada's Everyday Italian 3 DVD set at Target, for $19.99! Can you believe that!? They have Paul Deen, Giada and Rachel Ray DVDS; lots of Rachel, LOL. The package says it's a "Target Exclusive"; not sure what that means, as I checked the show lists, and this is the same volume one as on the Food Network's website, except for ALOT cheaper! I'm hoping they get volume two when it's released, as well. Since they have alot of Rachel's. Also noticed on Amazon Giada has a new cookbook (Giada's Family Dinners) coming out in April 2006; a ways off, I know, but we can start dreaming.

Does any one know where to herb de provence jar is from?

Posted by Lynne on November 1, 2005 at 12:54 PM

Leigh - is the cream from Strauss Family Creamery? That's the brand that comes in glass bottles at my supermarket.

Posted by Gloria on November 3, 2005 at 1:24 PM

Marilee et al.,

The glass spice jars that Giada uses are from Fishs Eddy in NYC. It is a restaurant surplus store catering mostly to the industry. (www.fishseddy.com)

You may not find them their online store, but call them 877.347.4733 to place an order. The sales lady told me that they do not always carry them. It may take them weeks to a few months to get them again if they sell out.

I bought a few and they are GREAT!! They're only $2.99 each (the same amount of money as the cute little jars found at The Container Store as recommended by Virch). They hold about 4oz.

Posted by Tacy on November 4, 2005 at 7:12 PM

Great site, great info for Giada fans.

Posted by Tacy on November 4, 2005 at 7:31 PM

Hi Lynne,

You can find the herbs de provence at Williams Sonoma. The small jar that Giada uses costs about $12.00.

Thanks!

I am so glad I found this site about Giada, I love Vietri and I love her show! The dishes she uses are beautiful. I have the Cucina Fresca in sage and saffron. Has anyone ever been to their Warehouse Sale in North Carolina? It is so much fun, and a great place to find discontinued product.

Andy, I looked at the Crate and Barrel site and loved those! Ordered 6 and just got them in. They are a great size..not too big...not too small.

I've already placed my order! I'm thinking I should place another (as a spare)--is that taking it too far?

Another off the subject question, but does anyone know the designer of the necklace
Giada is always wearing. Very simple and sweet, a couple of chains and small diamonds or silver bullets.

Hi Jen,

Giada's diamond necklaces are from Tiffany's Diamonds by the yard collection. It's two individual solitaire necklaces and one that has diamond stations all along it. I'm not sure about the necklace with the rectangle pendant, though. hth!

I'm so glad I've found this board. There's a wealth of information. Thanks all! :)

The white tray that she uses to prep meat is a Pillivuyt Rectangular Baker. You can get it at Williams Sonoma: http://ww1.williams-sonoma.com/cat/pip.cfm?pkey=xsrd0m1%7C15%7C0%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7Cpillyviut&gids=d054&cmsrc=sch

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site. I've got a lot of helpful leads on some of the products I'm looking for. I love the show and want many of the items in giada's kitchen. I already ordered the oval measuring cups, porcelain measuring spoons, spice jars, square glass jars and the pitcher. I'm now ready to order the walnut cutting board and Simon Pearce square pitchers (I've got to have them)

I totally love the small white sauce boat without handles that she used on the episode for grilled shrimp on endive which looked like a teardrop. Has anyone found those? I would really appreciate any leads. Also, if you know where I can get those white bowls that has a small base, I think rather oval shape that flairs at two ends, sort of like the slight curve dips in the center. It's kind of hard for me to describe and probably difficult for you to visualize.

Thank you all.

The new dishes, plates with rounded up edges in beautiful OCEAN blue and the butter strip in DUCK EGG, as well as the salt bowls, and various other dishes, are from MUD AUSTRALIA. Not many retailers in the US carry their products and they are pricey. The platters she uses in Duck Egg are $77-$88. The plates I think are around $30 but are they gorgeous! I must replace my cheap Ikea plates or buy a few dessert plates just to experience the beauty in my kitchen.

The flat bottom pitcher is available at Lekker after I requested they carry the smaller size (Basis pitcher), but the 3 C size has been discontinued by LSA London. I'm still trying to find one elsewhere, as I did see it on Oprah and also on Law and Order during many court scenes.
Anyway, I bought my 4" pitcher from NY which is exactly the small pitcher on the show, and Pottery Barn is where I bought my 7" pitcher, made by the same LSA that makes Basis as well as the smaller pitchers on the show, for $19.

The shallow white platters in 2-3 sizes with the spout used mainly for prepping is also discontinued by Terence Conran in NYC. They are not the exact match as those from Williams Sonoma. Terence Conran is where I bought my porcelain egg "crate" with 3 rows of 4, that she uses for eggs but it is also available at the Container Store as a Jewelry Valet for $9.99. I bought my 2nd in there in Bath section--just ask. Oh, plus Fantes carries a porcelain egg crate but it is designed just like the egg carton from the store with 2 rows--very cute. If you can get the one at the Container Store, you save the shipping obviously.

So, if someone finds a retailer with the Mud Australia line, please post or email me! I found sellers in LA--Truth and Beauty, and 2 stores in SF, Zinc details and the other stores escapes me now (sorry), though there are 1 or 2 more in the LA area. I'm not sure the Zinc details is interested in mail order so I'll have to visit to see what type of stock they have. I see the pieces in the email ads they send me and they're beautifiul.

ok, the end. for now.

I see the pieces in the email ads they send me and they're beautifiul.

ok, the end. for now.

I forgot to ask. WHERE can I get the tapered olive oil pourer that O&Co sells for +$6 plus $8+ s/h? I know they come with bottles but I don't need bottles, just pourers. Cost Plus says they carry just the pourers with the plastic instead of cork, but they've been out for months. I've serached Sur La Table, BBB, L&Things, Target, you name it, I've tried and spent hours online but O&C seems to be the only source and that's too pricy to me (w/s/h).

Oh, someone asked about the jars used for marinara. The only source I saw is Cost Plus and it seems they are discontinuing though it could be just the bigger size. They still carry the smaller sizes--32? oz and smaller but that nice big jar is not there. Is that a great jar? Convenient to scoop or pour into and pretty. If someone sees them elsewhere, I'd like to know as well. Thanks!

Posted by liz on July 9, 2006 at 7:05 PM

ok, sorry guys. I found the tapered s/s with the plastic plug at Williams Sonoma and bought one. I'd still like to know if some other retailers sell this item in either cork or plastic w/the stainless pourer of course. Thanks!

Liz:

Thank you for all the information. I just ordered the porcelian egg crate from The Container Store. I had e-mailed the company in London (Dwell) but they do not ship to the United States. Now I can be happy until I see something else that I want.

Hi,

Does anyone know where to find the hot pink spatulas used on the show? I've had my eyes on it for a while.

Also, I'm pretty sure it was on Everday Italian, but it's possible it was on Barefoot Contessa, but there was a white bowl that had an open lip on it, very ideal for pouring flour into a mixer. Does anyone know where to find this bowl?

Thank you :)

Hi Amanda,

I'm not sure if you're refering to the red spatula with black handles. If those are the ones, they are by OXO which you can find at Bed Bath and Beyond website for about $7. Hope those are the ones. Happy shopping.

Could you please, help me! I am looking for a source where I could purchase the with plates used by Chef Mario Batali in one of his Iron Chef shows. The plate is unmistakable. It is all white with a very large border. The border seems to be about 4 inches wide. I would be very interested in buying a set of 8 of those plates/bowls.
Thank-you,

Hey everyone! This is such a great place, you all are so helpful! I don't believe anyone has mentioned this yet, if it is a repeat, I'm sorry - anyways, you can get those porcelain white and blue measuring sppons from anthropologie, that is where I bought mine before I found that set list...just another option for you all!

Hi everyone. Does anyone know where the white (i believe ceramic) spouted mixing bowls from the show? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Posted by Kelly on August 8, 2006 at 11:45 PM

THis is posted above from OCT 05 about the spouted bowls.

Posted by liz on August 9, 2006 at 1:03 AM

Could someone type up a list of all the items above - list phone #s and such all on one sheet for all of us who type too slow?

Also, the white le creuset i believe is a braiser pan which you can find on the chefs catalog website and many other places. I'm assuming i'm right so if i'm not - - for sure someone will clue me in for all of our sakes....

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to offer something that may be helpful to those of us who drool over ther ceramics but don't want to pay through the nose for them. In most towns and urban areas there is a ceramic store of somekind that will carry many of the styles if not all that you are looking for. These pieces are unsanded and unfired. Most of them will fire the ceramics for you for a small fee. after you have sanded out the seams with a green scrubby or 400 grit sandpaper. At the bisque stage you are then ready to select glaze aand then paint it on. Depending on where you live the firing costs will differ but it runs around $25 for use of a large kiln here and you can fit alot of serving platters in there. The technitions will fire it for you and then you go home with beautiful unique dishes! I hope this helps some of you.

I have one more question, hope that someone will be able to help me...I love the show Good Eats with Alton Brown, where can I get the 'Salt holder' that he uses? I found one but it is really for cheese and comes with a spoon and a hole in the container, Can anyone help me with that??Thanks.

Betty,

I bought Alton Brown's salt cellar through his website which was linked from the foodnetwork site. Go there first, go to the good eats show, then there's a link to his website which sells the same one from the show. It's cheap and very nice and functional.

Note: She has used this pan to make the cheese pizzettes and chocolate ravioli

Note: Also I wanted to know where to find the bottles that she made her Limoncello in?

Also, looking for a purple long sleeved shirt she was wearing with the twisty part around the waist.

to Tacy from April 19: The ladle is a sauce ladle by Rosle and Williams Sonoma has it, if you're looking at the one with the round handle. They have different sizes and some have the hook handle. You can also get it from Kitchen direct. There's another one with a black round handle and I've seen that at BB and Beyond.

Posted by liz on September 8, 2006 at 12:09 PM

Morgan,

I think the red frying pan that you're inquiring about is a Le Creuset Braiser Pan (see attached link for picture). I have the blue one in 5 quart, which is equivalent to about a 12"+ skillet? It is pretty wide. I bought mine at Williams Sonoma and use it often. It is very heavy though.

It's been said before, her husband is a designer for Anthropologie so she wears many shirts/tops from their store. Also-you can find porcelain measuring spoons ($14) there but they are cheaper at www.fantes.com ($10.99)where they also have the stainless oval measuring cups which can be found NO where else to my knowledge. Her necklaces are from Tiffany's and no one knows where the dogtag is from but it could be Tiffanys as well??

It was very funny to see the last question about Giada's gorgeous necklaces as I JUST gave my husband a photo of her and begged that they are the only thing I really want this christmas. Does anyone know if there are gold or platinum - and if they are from Tiffany's Elsa Peretti collection? (I hope not as they would definately not be under the tree for me!).

P.S. I met Giada at a book signing in Boston. I was #3 in line and she is a doll!

Does anyone know what has happened to the Food Network dvds they were selling at Target? Giada had three sets of them, and they carried a nice selection. But I've noticed recently all but four (and most of those are holiday only) dvd sets are being sold at Target now, and the price stickers/shelf space for the others are gone. Did they discontinue these? Does anyone know? I never even saw them go on sale, they just "poof!" disappeared! I missed the last set of Giada dvds!

To Diane-
her necklaces are Tiffany's diamonds-by-the yard and they are gold. Her diamonds are fairly large-I think she had two strands and over time added a a third strand--not cheap!

To Suzanne-I love the rectangular pendant but have been unable to locate it. There are dogtags in white gold but nothing thin and flat like hers. It should be rather easy to reproduce by a jeweler (draw a picture the exact size and thickness you want) Check her cookbooks for close-ups. Let me know if you locate it!!

Surprisngly, a lot of Giada's kitchen "goodies" can be found at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, where you can get 20% off with a coupon. If you look on FoodNetwork.com and go to Everyday Italian, there's a link on the left side of the website that says "Everyday Italian Set List." It is pretty much complete listing of everything Giada uses on the show and what websites and stores to get the items at.

Hello! I have really enjoyed reading the amazing info everyone has been able to gather, and I appreciate your sharing it!

I'm hoping you can help with another question which was previously asked but not answered (I don't think - didn't see it, anyway) - probably because it doesn't have to do with cookware! LOL! (of course, neither does nail polish, jewelry and clothing, but I've been delighted to read the answers here!)

Anyway, my question is also about the background music on the shows. I think it would be classified as "electronica," but I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with electronica genre or artists, so I'm at a complete loss.

I have emailed the EI production staff but didn't not receive an answer. If ANYONE here can help, I would be extremely grateful - I've been searching for YEARS!

Thanks very much for everything!

Christine, the wooden spoon with the basket on the end is a bamboo skimmer. I have seen them at Bed Bath & Beyond and Williams Sonoma stores but not on their web site. Williams Sonoma does sell a bamboo tool kit that includes this skimmer on their website but it is $55 for the whole set.

Has anyone noticed the round, wrought iron like looking cooling rack she occassionaly uses? It sits low and has 3 scroll feet I believe. I would love to have this but am wondering if it is an antique. Thanks!

Hello, fellow Giada fans! I'm tickled to know that so many others admire Giada's fantastic taste in just about everything. I appreciate all the helpful information each of you have given, and I plan to track down everything I can afford! ;) I do have a couple of questions. . . does she only use the tapered French rolling pin in her show, or does she have a standard French pin as well? Can anyone tell how the pin is stored in her kitchen? Also, please clarify for me (since I am relatively new to Giada's show--you all have to catch me up on these things!). . . does she only use two sets of measuring spoons, the porcelain set for liquids and the stainless steel rectangular set for spices? Oh, and one more thing. . . I'm also looking for the marble pastry board and cheaper versions of the square glass canisters she keeps pastas in. By the way, I did find a set of those corked spouts for olive oils on Fantes.com; they were a set of two for $7.99 (compare that to $6 each at O&Co). They even have little teeny stainless hinged covers on the ends of the spouts. Cute. Just thought I would throw that out for your consideration. :) Thanks again for so much wonderful information, my friends!

Posted by Jodie on March 1, 2007 at 6:55 PM

Update! I could only find the 80-ounce Libbey square glass canister as part of a set of graduating sizes in stores, which is not what I wanted (I was looking for three or four of the same size). . . Restockit.com has the right jar (though it is Anchor Hocking brand, I believe) in a case of four for $36.38. That comes out to less than $10 per canister. I thought that was a worthy enough deal to mention! Happy hunting to all!

Giada's nail color is by Essie (Ballet Slippers, a verrrry popular color - it's gorgeous!!)

I found CZ necklaces designed after Giada's Tiffany strands. Obviously not the same, but for those of us on a budget ... well, it'll do for now. (www.tinystar.com)
I have recognized so many of her outfits from Anthropologie, it's not even funny.

Still desperately searching for her vintage gold watch (she wears it on her right arm) and her gold rectangle necklace. What can I say? The gal's got great style!! :)

Hello! I am looking for the champagne flutes that were on the 3/19 episode that Giada and her friends were drinking out of at the end of the show. Does anyone know what they are? I have emailed the show however I have not heard back yet. Thanks!

Hi,
What a wonderful site! I am looking for the pastel measuring cups Giada uses that look like coffee cups with tiny handles and pouring spouts. She uses them for flour I think.

Posted by Jen on June 30, 2007 at 12:23 AM

I just broke my white porcelain measuring spoons with a blue rim that I've had for 20 yrs.+. I notice that Giada uses them also. Does anyone know where they can be found?

Posted by joan on July 1, 2007 at 11:17 AM

Joan-Fantes.com sells the ceramic measuring spoons. They are shown on the home page listed as a "Quick Pick"

Posted by christina on July 5, 2007 at 3:22 PM

Jen-The pastel measuring cups that you are looking for are at anthropologie.com

Posted by Christina on July 5, 2007 at 3:24 PM

Christina - thanks for the info, but I just checked the anthropologie site and I don't think those are the same cups she use.

Does anyone idea where she gets all those cute little glass beakers (for lack of a better word) that she uses to pour milk, cream, etc.???

Posted by Tica on July 6, 2007 at 11:25 PM

I have been watching this site, and looking for the pastel measuring cups. Just this past week, I noticed another detail on the pastel measuring cups, and it was the cup size imprint on the side of the cup. I checked out the suggestion for www.anthropologie.com, and I bought the measuring cups. I figure the colors can easily be distorted from both the television and computer monitor, and if these cups are not the same ones, they sure are a very close match.

Great job everyone on keeping the post going on Giada!

Here's a link to some spice jars that are similar to the ones I've seen Giada use and they are affordable:

I would suggest reading the set list for everyday italian on foodnetwork.com as well as all the previous postings on this website - there's a ton of information, and alot of it keeps getting repeated as opposed to putting new questions/information out.

I am looking for the white ceramic/porcelain egg tray that holds about a dozen eggs as seen on Everyday Italian hosted by Giada De Laurentiis. Does anyone know where I can get one. I found one but it is a manufacturer in China and it doesn't show retailers to purchase it from. Any information you may have please let me know. I would really like to get this.

Posted by Laura S. on July 26, 2007 at 10:31 PM

Laura-I purchased my ceramic egg crate from Anthropologie. Her husband designs clothes for this company, so I am sure that it is the same one that she has. I called a local store in my area to have them ship one to me. You will specifically have to ask for the 12 ceramic egg crate. I didn't the first time and they sent me one that holds 9 eggs. They do not have this item on their website Anthropologie.com
Hope this helps...Christina

Posted by Christina on July 28, 2007 at 4:07 PM

Christina,

How long ago did you get your egg tray from Anthropologie? I have an Anthropologie store here locally and go in quite often and they don't have the egg tray. They had a 6 egg tray in a blue that goes great with the Vietri dishes. I have a pair of those and love them! I know her husband is a designer and is linked to the Anthropologie store. My mother read about her several years ago and she got me started watching her show. I love the clothes and everything the store carries. My mom got the most beautiful bed from the store that was a display piece several years ago. She just happened to inquire about it and the next day the store puts it on sale! ( Just a note to let anyone know if you see something in the store that is a display ASK about it. Alot of times they don't sell the props and displays but depends on when they are changing things out. Just wanted to pass this on because she got it for a really great sale price. ) I will go back to the store and ask if they can help me find this. I just love the big white tray of eggs and I have been unsuccessful finding one. I found one today from Conran.com but they are located in London and not sure if they will ship to the USA.

This is a such and informational web site and would have loved to have found it years ago. However the search to find the items in stores and catalogs has been a fun quest.

Thank you again for your help and reply. This is such a wonderful group of people with all of the same interest and looking to help one another. I am so thrilled to have found this site.

Oh...... and here is another bit of information to those who are wanting the set of 3 spouted bowls as mentioned earlier in the post. Stonewallkitchen.com has the bowls on sale and are under the sale section. They are the Burleigh Ware Batter Bowls. Just to let those know who haven't gotten them and are waiting for them to go on sale. Not a big savings but every little bit helps.

Joy,

The stacked white compote dishes are from Ralph Lauren. They are available on his website. I purchased mine from my local Dillards store.

I loved the silver colonial-style tea set she used in the same episode. It is unusual that the handle is silver instead of black on that style of teapot. Have you seen a set like hers? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone for the great ideas about where to find things!

Posted by Lynne on July 29, 2007 at 6:45 PM

Laura-I purchased the egg crate about a month ago. You can call any Anthropologie store in the US to have them ship it. The store that I purchased mine from is located in Dallas at Northpark Center. Phone number 214.691.8450 I actually just ordered the ceramic measuring sppons (my son broke my old ones) and the colorful ceramic measuring cups that she uses just today. So hopefully I will receive them sometime next week. Hope this helps.

Posted by Christina on July 30, 2007 at 9:00 PM

Christina,

Thank you so much for letting me know about the egg crate. I called my store and they have several and I am going in the morning to get 2 of them. I have been searching for so long to get this item. I guess every time I go to my local store their stock has been depleted and I haven't seen them there. I am excited and can't wait to go and get them tomorrow. My daughter gave me the measuring spoons for Christmas and I just used them again last night. I'm afraid I'm going to break them every time I use them but they are made to be used and not just lay in a drawer or cabinet to display. Maybe I should get another pair just as a spare set in case if one breaks. Thank you again for helping me out on locating an egg crate.

I just found this site. Thanks for answering lots of questions so far... but I have one question that I did not find the answer to and wondered if anyone has mentioned this already... Does anyone know where to find the bowl Giada uses for her salt that has a splotchy brown and cream pattern to it? Is there a particular name for that type ceramic pattern and a particular company that makes it? I want to find it and more of the same. Anyone have any idea?

in regards to the blue and white measuring spoons Giada uses , you can find at The Country Gourmet Ltd. on the buttom of the page for $ 11.75

Posted by nora smothers on August 8, 2007 at 4:43 PM

Measuring spoons you can find at the anthropologie store

Glass Pitchers/beakers Giada uses to make dressings (small) and mixed drinks (large)- http://lekkerhome.com/CollectionDetails.asp?CollectionID=213

Her husband is a designer for anthropologie, hence most of her wardrobe is from there as well.

I really like her "salad tossers" that she also uses to stir when cooking on the stove...does anyone know where she gets those?

What great information for Giada fans!

I tried Stonewall Kitchen for the white bowls with the pouring spouts. All I could find were the batter bowls. Anyone?

The gal who had the egg trays on EBay. Did you sell all of them? I just searched and could not locate your item.

Thanks!

Posted by Elaine on August 15, 2007 at 11:55 PM

Elaine,

The bowls are a little hard to find on the website. They are batter bowls, but by Burleigh Ware Ironstone. (I have previously ordered them and these are the ones that Giada uses on the show.) The bowls are a pricey, but they are so handy - something about the lower sides and the spout.

Here is the link, but you can search under Burleigh and choose Ironstone to see them as well: http://www.stonewallkitchen.com/prdsell.aspx?L0=Kitchen&L1=Burleigh&L2=Ironstone&L3=BurleighwareBatterBowls

Has anyone had luck finding the silver teapot set from the Afternoon Dessert episode? I am still looking...

Posted by Lynne on August 16, 2007 at 9:56 AM

Lynne,

Thank you for the tip on the bowls! I found them and ordered my set.

I hope another brilliant fan can help you track down the silver teapot set. I am still looking for the ceramic egg crate and am hoping to come across the shallow platters with spouts that are discontinued.

Posted by Elaine on August 18, 2007 at 1:11 AM

I've just spent the last two hours or so trying to hunt down the white ceramic egg tray I saw recently on Everyday Italian. It simply cannot be found. Here's where I've tried with no results -

1. Dwell (no longer available)
2. Terence Conrad (U.K. - won't mail to the US.)
3. The container store -
tried under the regular search button, bath AND jewelry. Absolutely nothing popped up for it.
4. the above ebay address for the person who had extras (no longer being bid on).

How can something so simple be so difficult to find?

Any workable suggestions?

Thanks.

Posted by Juli on August 18, 2007 at 6:02 PM

Juli.........Go to an Anthropolgie store and they have the egg crates there. You may want to call the store before you go to see if they have them. My store had been out but got more in and I have had mine for about 3 weeks or so. I tried all of the websites and couldn't find any. Conran would ship them but I would have paid a ridiculous amount for the freight. If you don't have any luck I can give you my Anthropologie store phone number and see if they can help you or direct you to a store in your area. Good luck.

Posted by Laura S. on August 19, 2007 at 5:26 PM

Thanks Laura for your encouragement to call my local stores. The one nearest me did not have any in right now - but the other one has several! At first neither person knew what I was referring to but then asked co-workers and yaaa - now I can get one. I appreciate your help. You know how it is, once you see something so cute and functional you just gotta have it! Life is short! :) I'll update you after I get it. By the way do you like yours? And why do you think they are so hard to find?

Posted by Juli on August 19, 2007 at 5:46 PM

Juli........I don't know why they are so hard to find. I have some other ones I got about 2 years ago from Anthropologie and they are really cute. They hold 6 eggs and they are a really pretty aqua blue but have a really rustic italian pottery look to them. They have little handles on the sides and I use these all the time. My daughter gave them to me as a gift and I love to cook. However, I haven't seen them in the store again after I got them.

I saw the white egg trays on Everyday Italian and I knew I would use them when I really do alot of cooking at one time. Mainly baking when I will use the egg trays. I love the trays and I would recommend them. The only complaint I have is the glaze on the egg trays have crazing all over them. I purchased 2 of them just in case one broke but during the holidays both will be used. Good luck and I am glad I could pass on the information to you. I hope you are happy with the trays when you get them.

By the way do you have the 3 piece spouted mixing batter bowls? These I love. I saw these years ago in Stonewall Kitchens catalog several years ago and I forgot where I saw them and thanks to this site I found the source. I didn't realize these were used on Everyday Italian until I did a google search and came across the website with the information listed. This is a great website and full of information. Enjoy!!

I ordered my white ceramic egg tray directly from the Conran store in NYC. The tray only costs $12, but I agreed to the outrageous shipping fee to CA. The sales associate who helped me said that the trays are flying off their shelves. I asked about the white tray with the spout, but she knew nothing about it.

Posted by Elaine on August 19, 2007 at 11:36 PM

The white ceramic trays with the pouring spouts are no longer handled by the Conran store. This happened some time ago, which is probably why the sales associate did not know anything about them. (Over a a year ago when I had called the store in New York to inquire about the trays, a sales associate that had worked at that store for a while happened to remember that the trays were discontinued as an item for her store.)

I have not been able to find the trays anywhere else. (The spout feature is pretty unique.)

If anyone knows of the actual company that made the trays, maybe they could be ordered directly from the manufacturer. The sales associate was not sure if the item was not longer made, or just no longer carried in the Conran stores. (She said she believed Conran was not the actual producer, but did not remember who was.)

Posted by Lynne on August 20, 2007 at 10:30 AM

Sorry - I meant Terence Conrad, not Conran!

Kelly,
Anthropologie sells the measuring spoons online.
Anyone know, why they put their egg trays online, as well? :(

Posted by Jeannie on August 21, 2007 at 3:52 PM

I contacted Container Store to find out what happened with the Jewelry valet, as they labeled them. I bought my egg crate from T. Conran store in NY, and no, they do NOT sell the shallow pans with the spout and would not offer the maker of it either, and I spoke to customer service, where they send out these items. I've seen the trays elsewhere, but will have to recall where and post later. (sorry) The post by Julie? on Aug 20 has sthe same one but for more. Oh, FANTES has one but the shape they carry is like a typical egg crate you buy your eggs in (but ceramic). Very cute too.

DOES someone know where Giada's bowl, that was used in the Greek/Italian show, to mix the baklava filling, with the spout came from? It's not a Stonewall Kitchen bowl, it's slightly different but very nice too. Please, if you know, email me? THANKS!!

Liz,

They have not sold the spouted pans for a couple of years now, but what a bummer they would not tell you the manufacturer of the spouted white trays when you talked to the T. Conran store. (As you can guess, T. Conran produces pretty much none of the stuff sold in his shop, so that little piece of information would really help us out if anyone there would spill it!)

If you think of where else you have seen them, please let us know.

Posted by Lynne on August 28, 2007 at 7:24 AM

Well, I finally got my new egg crate (3x4) for $14.00 at the Anthropologie store that is a half hour away. The one that was ten minutes away did not have any. Wouldn't you know. The NY Conrad store emailed me back and offered to mail one to me - but no need. Even though I had called ahead to make sure they had them in stock boy was it hard to find in the store! If I had not been specifically looking for it I would have NEVER seen it! :) It's cute and I especially appreciate being able to store a whole dozen eggs right away from the grocery store. The more compact design makes it so much better and it looks great with the brown organic eggs I always get. Nice contrast. Look forward to setting it on the counter when I next bake with a bunch of eggs. :) Thanks everyone for your help. This is a fun site. As they say on the "Red Green Show" -- "we're all in this together". :)

Thanks Audrina for responding. I agree that they probably aren't at WS or SLT - it isn't listed on their website. Which website did you purchase them off of? I noticed quite a difference between the 2 sites offering them for shipping. I'm surprised progressive isn't more "progressive" (pardon the pun) lol in promoting the spatulas. They look perfect for frosting etc. with it's unique shape and of course what girl doesn't like pink? :)

Posted by Juli on September 9, 2007 at 5:13 PM

Audrina gave the website for the Progressive mini spatula as Mendingshed.com and their shipping isn't bad but fortunoffs is way too high. Also, I've requested that Bed, Bath and Beyond carry them and just waiting for the response. They've asked me which color I want and I haven't heard just yet so I put off ordering from mending shed until I hear the verdict.

Posted by liz on September 15, 2007 at 5:41 PM

I went ahead with mendingshed.com's and got two (same shipping price as for one so why not). I find I'm using them all the time, even to just butter bread! Let me know what you find out about BBB. That would be great if they started to carry them. They also would make a great gift. :)

Hi Tammie,

Is better to call or e-mail Le Santuaire, Is how a got them , by calling them. Here is their email :

info@cookingbuddies.com

The dark brown peppermill with a chrome ring is $170. The wood is true macassar ebony wood from Indonesia. Comes in two sizes. Giada is using now the small version.

The Alex Peppermil is $205. The wood is known as bubinga from Africa

To order, please email or call them at 310.581.8999 and someone would be able to assist you. They usually ship via ups/fedex ground

I hope you find the information useful.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where I can get the cute little glass containers that Giada uses for her cream or milk?? It looks like it holds a cup or so and it resembles the old glass milk jars (from the milk man days), except a little fatter and shorter. On one of the shows that aired this weekend she made some kind of baked pudding with whipped cream on top and she had her pre-whipped cream in the jar. It is so, so cute and I MUST have one.

Also, in case anyone is interested, here is a link to some cute little spice jars that look similar to the ones she uses:

http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=74062&PRODID=10013282

http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=74062&PRODID=10019621

Also, Fantes.com has the porcelain measuring spoons for $10.99 here, the cheapest I've seen them (scroll down, next to last item):

http://fantes.com/measuring_spoons.htm#porcelain

AND the stainless steel measuring cups for $19 here (the very first item):

http://fantes.com/measuring_cups.htm#sets

Shipping is only about $8 too, my total was just under $40 for everything.

Does anybody know where to get the little blue square platter with shallow sides? I've seen it somewhere but don't recall now. She uses it usually to plate something and try it so it's not that big. I wish I could be more specific as to the show.

HELP?? Does someone out there know where to buy the bowls used by GDL, Bobby Flay, MC and Tyler Florence?

It is CLEAR, SIMPLE in design and is more tall in shape than round like most mixing bowls, but still tapers wider at the top vs the bottom. Very pretty bowl.

There are diff sizes but I've seen the small on EI used for vinaigarette, and Bobby and Tyler have used for maybe same thing but they used the bigger size.

The little serving square plate with the short sides GDL uses to present some dishes in blue is very nice too. Has anybody seen this one as well?

THANKS!!

Thank you

Giada's aprons can be purchased at Hableconstruction.com~This is the same site that creates the oven mitts that she uses on the show.

Ally,

Are you referring to the white pan she frys with? That's a Le Crueset braiser or buffet casserole. I LOVE that pan!

You can get a less expensive version but color choice is limited, on QVC, 4 colors I think. Same thing though.

Liz - the bowls you are looking for are made by Anchor Hocking - Splash Proof bowls 4-piece set, in mix & measure bakeware category. Can't find them anywhere though - I guess sears.com used to sell them. Please let me know if you find a stockist?

Sharon and Erica: Thank you for the info! I found the bowls at Kohl's and bought them. Walmart has them too but not as a set so you have to check for scratches.

If someone knows where to get the spouted white bowl Giada uses in the AWARDS PARTY episode, which is slightly different from the Stoneware Kitchen batter bowls if I'm not mistaken, please let me know? THANK YOU!!

If someone is still interested in the CERAMIC EGG TRAY used on the show: Terence Conran still carries it too.

If that link doesn't work (copy/paste) it's conranusa.com, then kitchen/serving. It's near the page bottom 6 rows up if you choose show all on one page... $12.

Sorry to say it, but its pretty impossible to find that dark wood peppermill with the chrome ring....the place that made it here in California went out of buisness, or is going out of buisness, who knows it was weird when I talked to them about it. I want that thing as much as you do, I'm sure. I've been going crazy for it.

All I know is if they made some more of them, they would be able to stay in buisness darn it! They were very expensive for a little peppermill...over 100 dollars...but still I know I would drop that if they were still available.

Am I out of luck. I and my sister are great fans and Love kitchen gadgets. I love those white with blue trim measuring spoons and Nigella's cups sooo cute.

Hello Tanya, I am from Quebec, Canada and I placed an order on anthropology.com where I got those measuring spoons. On their web site you can get Nigella's measuring cups too I think, but you can get also the ceramic pastel measuring cups that Giada uses on her show. You will have to pay for shipping and government taxes too but at least you can get what you want right from them....wish I helped you....

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find the square ceramic baking dish Giada used in one of the cooking for/ with kids shows she did. It's half red and half white/ cream/ ivory in color, with handles. I think she cooked lasagna in it or something, if I recall correctly.

I'm also looking for the white flour canister and black pepper small bowl (also white, with curved-in edge?) featured in her Sunday Supper (roasted leg of lamb and chocolate ricotta cake) episode. Are they from Heath Ceramics?

Thanks in advance=) I'm so thankful to have found this site!

I'm still looking for the different sized, shallow platters. I just saw the same ones but withOUT the spout, on the last half hour of TODAY (NBC) during a cheese 101 segment. Does SOMEONE out there know where to get these platters please?????

Jackie, if you give me your email I can send you the pics I took of the dishes at each store. I found the smallest dish at Cost Plus World Mkt. 2 diff sizes at Bed B&B with the smaller size with a textured ext. I'm going to check IKEA and take pic at Target when I get there. I'll bet those on the show are pricey but these are all cute.

To anyone who was interested in the white gravy sauce boat, I talked to someone at global table today. Hey all,

I, too have been contacting Global Table for that cute lil teardrop shaped gravy boat and just got my last order today.

I ordered 2 bigger sized ones, got them a week ago and 1 small sized one that came today and they are ABSOLUTELY adorable!! Giada definitely uses the small one, incase anyone was still wondering! You can order them either over the phone or through email!!

ENJOY!! I know I will! & Happy 4th of July!

Hello to everyone,

What a great site! Kudoos to all!!!

Does anyone know where to find the Oval Metal Measuring Cups that Giada uses in the "Everyday Italian" show to measure flour, sugar, and other dry ingredients for making fresh pasta or desserts? I have seen her use these oval metal measuring cups in many episodes shot at the kitchen with the white cabinetry and square, grayish tile with white grout for a backsplash. episodes such as "Island Hopping", "Sicilian Summer", "Summers in Capri", and "Date Night".

I have read through the whole blog and know that other people have asked about the oval metal measuring cups Giada uses. I checked the www.fantes.com website that some of you say carry these and they are not the ones used by Giada. Neither the shape nor the handle match Giada's. If someone has been able to get them or has any information on the subject, please let me know. I would appreciate it. I've been looking for these for quite a while. Thanks.

Posted by Mar on July 11, 2008 at 12:03 PM

Mar, according to Food Network, Progressive International sells pastry brushes, oval metal measuring cups, pink and gray silicone-headed spatulas. For information on these products, visit Progressive International at 6111 South Street, Kent, WA 98032, or call toll-free at 800-426-7101. Or visit them online at www.progressiveintl.com.

I looked at the website but it doesn't seem to show the measuring cups though...

Posted by Yukirei on July 12, 2008 at 7:25 PM

I have stayed up until 2am UK time reading this site. Thanks for finding the porcelain measuring spoons for me. I lurve the glass measuring jug/pitcher that she sometimes uses (we are getting the "white kitchen" episodes here). Does anyone know where I can locate it? I don't think that it is the LSA Basis Pitcher - even though it looks very similar, that doesn't seem to be a measuring jug/pitcher. Thanks in advance.

I have been searching forever for the stemmed clear swirl glasses used for her Italian Lemonade (pictured on the recipe). The set list does not help in identifying these either. Thanks so much!

I am trying to find the little glasses Giada uses for Limoncello. Has anyone seen them?

Posted by jodi on July 28, 2008 at 11:32 PM

Jackie, are you referring to the old episodes (they're showing here as well), where you see the pro faucet on the left (her right) by the window and all the tables in back of her with all the misc tools? She's on as I write and there is a 4 or 8 C measure that she's using but unsure if that's what you're searching for. Those LSA basis pitchers are just pitchers, though the 3 C size is and hasn't been available for years since discontinued. Maybe you can give a little more discription on the measuring cup you saw? You say it has measurements on it?

Someone also asked about the SS oval measuring cups (also in this old episode as well as many current shows) seems only availalble at FANTES. Others are Cuispro? from Sur La Table for one, plus the pink edged set you can get at Bed Bath Beyond and other stores.

Posted by liz on July 30, 2008 at 7:39 PM

Jodi-Are these the limoncello glasses you want?

http://www.napastyle.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=3540&parentCategoryId=518&categoryId=671&subCategoryId=671

There are 2 sizes with slightly different designs. These are very "Giada"ish. Hope this helps!

I just received the spice jars Giada uses on her show from Target.com and these are so cute in person. It was a steal at $19.99 for 12. I saw those at the Container Store too at almost $4 a jar. In case anyone is interested, here's the link:

Posted by Twiggy on August 8, 2008 at 11:25 AM

Does anyone know where to get the other set of ceramic measuring spoons she uses? On the episode "cooking for beginners" when Giada's aunt is on the show, her aunt uses a ceramic measuring spoon that is round instead of the white oval ones that she usually uses. I want both and I've found like 2 or 3 sites that have the white ones with the blue outline, and I've ordered them, but I'd like the other ones too.

Posted by Kasey on August 13, 2008 at 2:56 AM

Kasey: The other measuring spoons I bought from Cost Plus.

Jackie: you're still looking for oval measuring cups and since Fantes doesn't have the one you want, you must want the handles that are long and narrow? I've seen those at several stores, including Sur La Table and believe those are Cuispro but I'd have to double check.

Hey!! I just answered you over on the other site and didn't realize you were the one asking over here. Anyway, I myself spent HOURS looking for it online, Then I finally posted on the Giada site and the admin helped me find it. Anyway, it is http://micuccicollection.com/flash/index.php where you can order it directly from. The cost is $90. though, which is a little too high for me to spend on a salt jar. SO, I was totally bummed that I couldn't actually buy it after all the research looking for it! Let me know if you need anything else!!

the "Bee Band" at www.toerings.com ??

Not sure, but they look close. I like the one from the first website I posted here.

I've read this whole site and been looking for years myself... Has anyone found the gold rectangular pendant necklace that Giada wears?

By the way, everyone here is awesome for posting so much information. I just found out about so many of her items that i've admired for years. Thanks!!!

P.S. A lot of people of said it, but many, many of her items come from Anthropologie's home goods section.

I had many of the items before i noticed hers on the show Mostly from her last Everyday Italian season... the butter dish, pot holders, bowls, all measuring spoons and cups... They always have them at Anthropologie, and come out with new colors periodically. Always check their website (and the sale section too). You can find most of her stuff there other than her flatware and expensive dish sets.

Posted by Stacy on January 4, 2009 at 7:49 PM

Anyone know where I can find the pastel ceramic measuring cups that look like coffee cups? I can't find them anywhere! The ones on Anthropologie right now don't have the little handle.

Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know where I can get her flatware?

Posted by al on January 20, 2009 at 4:34 PM

This is a great site!

I recently bought mixing bowls that appear to be the same as the ones Giada uses every now and then. They are clear with a large rim around the top...I thought I read that someone was looking for them. I purchased them at Williams Sonoma for $36 for a set of 10 in different sizes. They're great!

Also, I just bought a Le Creuset dutch oven in the 13 Qt size...looks the same size as hers.

I also remember seeing the small pink dessert plates with a scalloped edge...but cant remember off the top of my head where it was...Ill investigate and post when I find out.

If anyone knows who makes the measuring cups that look like theyre made of porcelain...the ones with the small handle...kind of do resemble coffee cups, but I believe they had a little spout for pouring...could someone let me know?

Thanks everyone for all of the info about the products that she uses! :)

Posted by Denise on January 27, 2009 at 10:04 PM

Hello! Does anyone know what the ceramic/pottery dinnerware used in the episode named "Personal Chef" is. It was her friend Jen's stuff I assume. It had green like clovers on it with painted flowers in the middle. I e-mailed Foodnetwork but they had no information. Thanks for the help.

Posted by Sarah on February 9, 2009 at 4:46 PM

Dre, Desiree (or anyone who happens to know the answer to this.) Giada revamped her website and it appears that you can no longer ask questions about where to purchase some of the items she uses on her shows. Alot of people/cooks would post questions and comments. Am I missing something or did they just eliminate this part of the site. I am looking for the small pink spatula that she has used and am wondering if anyone knows. Thanks for any info.

Posted by JoAnn on February 22, 2009 at 2:55 PM

I'm wondering the same thing. I can't seem to find where you can ask questions regarding things on her show. Did they do away with this or what? If so, what a bummer! It was so nice to check out what and where everyone had found things on her show.

Posted by Tonja on February 22, 2009 at 10:32 PM

Hey all,

Yeah, I was on there yesterday and noticed the SAME thing!! It looks like they did away with the forum on giadadelaurentiis.com. BOO! I know a lot of us are really sad about it!

They DO have a FAQ section, but it's just not the same. Also, a Contact Giada Section, that probably doesn't have a quick response time...SO I guess we are back to Too Many Chefs! Hopefully one day they decide to put the Forum back up!!

Posted by DRe/mexitalian on February 23, 2009 at 2:55 AM

To Dre/mexitalian....Boo is right! I loved that section on her site. Do you think they discontinued that part of the site because too many people were asking too many questions? A friend of mine thought that maybe these stores/companies were making profits based on their site and they were not getting paid any royalty/commissions on those sales. Oh well, as you said back to this site.

Posted by JoAnn on February 23, 2009 at 1:52 PM

Hmm...not too sure, I just figured they were getting annoyed with us or something, but wow JoAnn, that could be a possibility! But they still do list where some of the items are from, under the FAQ section, so yeah. :)

Posted by DRe/mexitalian on February 23, 2009 at 3:06 PM

Yeah I am grateful that they are putting some of the items on their FAQ section. However, I must say that I am VERY thankful to you, Desiree and Cindy. You three seemed to be able to find alot! I hope they go to this site again as well. And speaking of items, I am still trying to find the glass bowls with green lids she used to put the sandwiches and meranges in, as well as the insulated cooler bag she used in the "polo matches" episode. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Posted by JoAnn on February 23, 2009 at 7:52 PM

oh no problemo :D

Des and Cindy should be around, I told them that we will have to just go back to Too Many Chefs so..I'm sure they will be around sooner or later!!

As for those containers, I was sure that I heard Cindy say that she found em at Kmart, but I'm not totally sure. As for that exact bag, not totally sure where it can be found. I'll let 'em know that they should show up around these parts!!!

Hey everyone!! I'm here just haven't checked in a few days. I am sooo bummed too! I am going to miss it. As for the green lidded glass containers...They are part of the Martha Stewart collection from Kmart. I thought I saw them last time I was there, but a lot of stuff goes on clearance fast. I did see this little one on the website but it is out of stock.

Does anyone know who manufactured the Everyday Italian oval stainless steel measuring cups that were formerly available at Fantes.com?

Posted by chitown on February 24, 2009 at 2:48 PM

Yes, those oval stainless steel measuring cups were manufactured by Progressive International: http://www.progressiveintl.com/

Unfortunately, they are nowhere to be found nowadays, seems they have sold out. Feel free to contact them though, see if anyone can give you some incite.

Posted by Dre/mexitalian on February 24, 2009 at 7:41 PM

Thanks so much! I talked to Fantes.com, but they wouldn't say who made them although they did say they weren't being manufactured anymore. Drat!

Posted by chitown on February 24, 2009 at 8:04 PM

Thank you Desiree for helping me find the glass bowls from the polo matches episode.
K-Mart actually had them in stock at a local store. These bowls are really nice!! Now if I can only find the insulated bag she used. Still working on that one. Again THANKS!

Posted by JoAnn on February 26, 2009 at 12:38 PM

Hey ya'll!!!! I'm so glad people are back on here. I cannot believe they did away with the questions section on the new website. I was excited to see the blog section on the new site, but there isn't anything there other than Giada's welcome message. Anyway, have ya'll checked out her facebook or twitter page? Is there anything good there?

Posted by Lori on February 26, 2009 at 7:00 PM

Does anyone know where Giadas wooden peppermill from a few seasons ago is from???

Posted by Breanna on March 8, 2009 at 12:44 AM

Sorry to say it, but its pretty impossible to find that dark wood peppermill with the chrome ring....the place that made it here in California went out of buisness, or is going out of buisness, who knows it was weird when I talked to them about it. I want that thing as much as you do, I'm sure. I've been going crazy for it.

All I know is if they made some more of them, they would have been able to stay in buisness darn it! They were very expensive for a little peppermill...over 100 dollars...but still I know I would drop that if they were still available.

Posted by Dre/mexitalian on March 9, 2009 at 6:23 PM

She's right...it was made by a company called Wdecor but they went out of business. They are pretty much impossible to find anymore. As of 2 weeks ago, the only one left that is remotely close is being sold from Le Sanctuaire and it is all chrome with a wood ring...the opposite of the wood one we all love.

Hi, I am writing from Australia, and I watch Giada everymorning, I have already gone out and purchased a white le crueseut pot as she uses and I am currently waiting on the measuring spoons that a friend from the states is ordering on my behalf, love everything she does and everything she uses, its so nice to see so many other people with similar comments!

Posted by Elena on March 11, 2009 at 6:28 AM

Hey everyone!!!

I finally made it over here. I am so bummed about the website. I do understand why they did what they did, but I wish at least they would have given everyone a heads up so people could at least exchange emails if they wanted to.

Has anyone been able to figure out how they got the utensil holder a white color (maybe they used a metal paint?)? How about the infamous herb holder?

Desiree...I am still holding out for those placemats. Someone hit my car (hit and run while it was parked) so I have to get that fixed first. ::sigh::: But...I haven't let go of them...OR the glasses. LOL One day...one day... :)

I'm so glad I found this site, I used to find out so much on the old forum.

I've already found a couple of useful links to items I would like. I've tried the links for the salt jar that she uses on Giada at Home but I can't get them to work, anybody able to help?

Also, on the old forum people used to ask what beauty products Giada used. I have been told Giada uses Janet Sartin cleaners and creams!

Her friend has some dishes that I love and I'm trying to find out where they are from. They come in two styles, one with green shamrock like flowers and pink flowers in the middle and the other pattern is pineapples. It has a ceramic look to it. Any help would be so appreciated.

Giada sometimes uses a white casserole pot with 2 short handles on her stovetop. I'd love to know where I could get something like that. Its the perfect size for so many of my dishes. Thank you, Cheryl

I did not see an answer to where to find the fruit holder she has on her counter. Looks like it is steel and cloth and is 3 tiered? Have looked for many hours online and can find nothing like it. There is nothing on the food network site either. Anyone know? Thanks much.

The white canisters with the dark wood tops with the cut out are from IKEA. :)

The oval shaped measuring cups with the indentation for your thumb was made by Progressive (I think). I believe they have been discontinued for a few years now.

The GORGEOUS wine glasses used for the Thanksgiving episode (with the trumpet like bottom) are from an Italian company called "Nason & Moretti". They are pretty expensive...with one wine glass costing close to $90. :( I still live in hope that one day... LOL

Hi, you all are so amazing. Does anyone know the name of the tiles in the backsplash of the kitchen Giada cooks in on her previous show called "everyday italian"?

It looks like a 4x4 blue/green squared tile but I have no idea what its called and its hard to see it really good. There is a cream tile she used over the stove with it which is also beautiful.

Im almost done with the remodle of my kitchen and we are ready to do the backsplash. My kitchen is just like the one Giada filmed her show everyday itialian in. I have the white shaker cabinets and black granite so I know this would look so great if I could only figure out the name of these tiles and if the are glass or ceramic?

I saw on this blog a few people emailed the show, Could you tell me how I can do this so if no one knows maybe I can email the show and they can find out for me? Thanks so much. Eva

In that same episode, "All Dressed Up," in Season 3, who makes the set of bowls w/lids used for the soup as well the charger plates used for the filet mignon? I've been searching everywhere, and only recently found where I can buy the wine and drinking glasses from that episode.

tiered plate she has on the back counter in her kitchen. She has the most beautiful things ever and I want them all and more! I have been searching all over! Thank you so much!

Posted by Marlene on April 15, 2011 at 5:27 PM

Kari,

The ruffled platter is long gone...discontinued (I have searched for years and came up with nothing...even with knowing the designer).

The purple placemats are from Daisy Hill...

http://www.barneys.com/Passementerie-Placemat/00452502024792,default,pd.html

Marlene,

The salt and pepper dishes come from Hering Berlin (their marmelade pot). The white canisters with the wood lids are from IKEA..the three tiered "Ray Tray" is from Chilewich.

I am not sure which white spoons you are talking about. The ones with the black writing came from World Market a few years ago...and the ones with the blue on them...they can be found many places online...just look for Giada porcelain measuring spoons.

Not sure if this thread is still going since this site is no longer updated but just in case anyone is interested, I've been doing A LOT of sleuthing on many items on Giada@Home:

Short stem flutes/wine glasses: Barre stemware from simonpearce.com

Salt/pepper dish with wooden lid: Hering-Berlin (you can order it from micuccicollection.com)

Short salad set, wooden spoons: Ozark West via Phoenix Culinary Products

Ceramic tray with sea blue interior: Jars Ceramics via Crate and Barrel or Didriks

Canisters with wooden lid: IKEA

Bowls/shallow plates: Davistudio and Simon Pearce Barre

Blender: Breville

Glass containers with green lid: Anchor Hocking

I'm probably missing lots more, but that's stuff I've actually bought. Hope that helps.
